About The Retreat

Join us for ‘The Retreat’—a special event created to help Manna Students come together, make friends, and grow. This overnight experience will happen on August 15th and 16th, offering a memorable journey of bonding and personal development.

At the core of ‘The Retreat’ is the belief that community is vital for our spiritual growth. We’ve designed this event to provide opportunities for students to connect deeply with one another through small group interactions.

Through carefully planned activities and sessions, we aim to create an atmosphere where meaningful relationships can develop effortlessly. If your child is aged between 11 and 18 and is seeking summer fun and friendship, we invite them to join us!

Where are the drop-off and pickup location?

Camp Dixie – 373 Bladen Union Church Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28306. Parents are responsible for drop-off and pick-up.

Yes, our drop-off times are flexible to include students who cannot get dropped off at the prescribed time.

Yes, the price is $45 per student. If you have any questions and concerns, we would love to answer them all! Please direct those questions to mannastudentsfay@gmail.com.

Bring all necessary medication with a filled-out medication form inside a Ziploc bag, with the student’s name written on the bag.

Our medication form is on the website, and it is available to print off.

At the Manna Students Retreat, we maintain a strict policy regarding refunds, and as such, we are unable to extend refunds to any individual under any circumstances. This policy is in place to ensure the sustainability of our events and to allow us to continue providing quality services to all our students. We encourage all participants to carefully review the cancellation policy housed on our website before committing to this event. By registering, parents and students agree to these terms, and any requests for refunds will not be accommodated. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Yes, absolutely. However, we encourage them to put their phones down and engage with actives and with each other and our leaders during the retreat.
In case of an emergency, we will immediately contact the emergency contact listed on your student’s registration form. Also, we will have a certified medical professional on-site to assist any student in need.
Yes! We will also provide meals and snacks at The Retreat, but feel free to bring snacks to consume as it will be hot.

Packing List

Bedding
  1. Fitted Sheet – To fit the camp bedding (check size if possible, likely twin size).
  2. Flat Sheet or Blanket – For extra warmth at night.
  3. Pillowcase/Pillow – For a comfortable night’s sleep.
  4. Light Blanket – If you prefer additional warmth or comfort.
  5. Sleeping Bag (optional) – Depending on the bedding setup, you may still want a lightweight sleeping bag for extra warmth.
  1. T-Shirts (2-3) – Comfortable, breathable options for warm weather.
  2. Long-Sleeve Shirt (1) – For evenings or sun protection.
  3. Modest Pants or Shorts (1-2 pairs) – Choose appropriate lengths for discretion and comfort.
  4. Underwear (2-3 pairs) – Breathable, comfortable fabrics.
  5. Socks (2-3 pairs) – Daytime wear.
  6. Comfortable Shoes – Sneakers or sandals for easy movement around the campsite.
  7. Light Jacket – For cool evenings.
  8. Hat/Cap – Sun protection during outdoor activities.
  9. Rain Gear – Light rain jacket or poncho in case of showers.
  10. Sleepwear – Comfortable, modest options suitable for the temperatures.
  1. Toiletries – Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc. Travel-size items are best.
  2. Towel – Quick-dry towel for use after any showers or washing up.
  3. Sunscreen – SPF 30 or higher for sun protection during outdoor activities.
  4. Bug Spray – To keep insects at bay, especially if near woods or water.
  5. Personal Medications – Any medications you need, with instructions on how to take them.
  6. Water Bottle – Reusable and large enough to stay hydrated throughout the day.
  7. Snacks – Energy bars, fruit, or trail mix for quick refueling between activities. (Snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own, as well.)

  2. Small Bag or Backpack – To carry personal items around during the day.
  3. Notebook/Pen – If you enjoy journaling or need to take notes during group sessions.
  4. Sunglasses – For protecting your eyes from the sun during outdoor activities.

Retreat Cancellation Policy

Thank you for choosing to join us for Manna Students Retreat! We are excited to have your students with us. However, please carefully review our cancellation policy below:

  1. No Refunds: Please note that all payments for The Retreat are final. We are unable to provide any refunds for cancellations or changes to your registration.
  2. Cancellation & Transfers: If you need to cancel your registration, we regret that we cannot offer any monetary refunds. Transfers to another participant may be possible under certain circumstances. Please contact us directly to inquire about transfer options.
  3. Event Changes: In the event of changes to The Retreat schedule or structure, we will do our best to inform you promptly. However, no refunds will be issued for any adjustments made to the schedule.
