Wayne was ordained in 1982 by his dad, Pastor James Tate, in Elizabeth, New Jersey at Calvary Tabernacle. In 1994, he and his wife, Rachel, and their children, moved to Nashville to base Wayne’s music ministry, Triumphant Ministries, out of Franklin, Tennessee. In 2000, Wayne performed with Darlene Zschech at the Gospel Music Awards. His songs have been sung by Alvin Slaughter, Ron Kenoly, and Crystal Lewis, to name a few, and have been published by Integrity Music, Brentwood Music and other labels.
In 2003, Wayne was led to join staff at Manna Church to be the Worship Pastor. He served in that role until May, 2012 when he was asked to become the Cliffdale Site Pastor. In May of 2016, David Michalski transitioned from being the Executive Place Site Pastor to the Associate Site Pastor at the Cliffdale Site serving alongside Wayne.
Wayne is married to Rachel. They have three children and four grandchildren.
